I played at Chris' last night with Vince Lardear. Vince has studied Parker like nobody I know. He is the ultimate bebop alto player. Second to none.

His charts are tough and his tempos are fast and I always walk out of that gig with my tail between my legs! It's incredible how certain people can really put you in your place and Vince always does that. I dig it, it's good for me and I love working with Vince.

If you get a chance to check him out, do it, it's a real treat.
